EOTD + Review: Wet N Wild Don't Steal My Thunder

I bought this palette a few months ago at CVS when i had $8 Extra Bucks to spend. I didnt really need this palette but I decided to get it anyways to give it a shot. It sells for $2.99.

Shades: browbone (matte white), crease (black sheen), eyelid (silver sheen)

This palette has three pretty shades that - in my opinion - are best for night looks. I really dont own hardley any black, silver, or matte white eyeshadows so this palette actually adds to my collection without being a duplicate of any other shades i own. All of the shades are pigmented and smooth just like every other Wet N Wild eyeshadow, but the silver was a tad hard to pick up with an eyeshadow brush. Otherwise this is a great palette - just not something i wear will alot considering its best for night looks.

EOTD: Cool As A Cucumber

I purchased this Wet N Wild Cool As A Cucumber at Rite-Aid (along with I'm Getting Sunburned) in a Buy On Get One 50% Off deal. Im bored and staying at home today w/ my daughter today so while she was taking her afternoon nap I decided to try this look.

Eye Look Steps

simply used the instructions on this palette to create the look - but i added the purple on my bottom lashline also. I finished it off with black eyeliner on my waterlines and black mascara. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Overall i like this trio but i dont love it. It goes really well with my green eyes (in my opinion) and definitely makes them appear brighter but its not a trio i would choose for an everyday look.

EOTD + Review: I Got Good Jeans

 

I bought this trio a few weeks or so ago in a Rite-Aid haul and while blues arent really my thing i found it easy to make an eye look suitable for me using this trio anyways! :)

Tutorial:

1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
2. Shade the dark blue shadow into creases and blend out.
3. Sweep the light blue shadow all over lids.
4. Line top lashline with the dark lue shadow.
5. Line bottom lashline & highlight browbone with the gold shadow.
6. Using a med-large fluff brush pick up some of the gold shadow on your brush and gently swirl all over lids & crease to soften and diffuse blue. This will also give it a light hint of shimmery gold.
7. Apply your favorite black liner to waterlines and black mascara to lashes!

Review:
Surprisingly i liked this trio alot even though blues dont suit me well (on my eyes). As always with Wet N Wild eyeshadows this trio was super pigmented and soft, which you can see from the swatches. Plus theyre affordable at only $2.99 each. Im so excited that the new ones came out! I havent seen them yet though :(

EOTD: AVON 12-in-1 Look #1

This is the first EOTD i've created using my new AVON 12-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette. It comes with twelve shimmer/metallic shades that range in tons of different colors, a sturdy case, and it's only $13.99! This also happens to be the same EOTD i wore to HP7 Pt. 2 last month! I am so sad to see the Harry Potter movies end :( I have read all the books a few times and seen all the movies a lot too.

The movie was amazing by the way!!!

Tutorial

1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
2. Sweep the jade green shade (#1) into creases.
3. Shade the bronze shadow (#2) all over lids and along bottom lashline.
4. Highlight browbone and inner corner with the pearly white shade (#3).
5. Apply a green eyeliner to water lines - i used P.F. Shimmer Strips stick liner in Green.
6. Apply a black liner thinly to upper lashline - i chose P.F. Eye Booster in black.
7. Coat lashes with black mascara - i chose Rimmel Extra WOW Lash.

Soon i'll be posting swatch comparisons of this AVON 12-in-1 palette to the Urban Decay naked palette as i have found some shade dupes! The green in this EOTD did not show up well on the camera but IRL it was definitely noticeable. Hope you liked this! Thanks for reading :)

EOTD + Review: E.L.F. Pigments in Celebrity & Socialite

This is the EOTD i did using the two beautiful pigments from Marily Santiago in a recent giveaway she held! I was so excited to try these out because i have never used E.L.F. Pigments prior to this.

Tutorial

1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
2. Sweep Celebrity pigment all over lids and onto bottom lashline.
3. Shade Socialite pigment into outer corners and along top lashline.
4. Highlight browbone with a white pearly shade. I used the browbone shade from the Wet N Wild Walking On Eggshells trio.
5. Put a brown eyeliner on top & bottom waterlines
6. Coat lashes with black mascara.

EOTD: Silent Treatment

This is a simple smokey look I created with the WnW Silent Treatment Trio, $2.99 at drugstores.

COMPARISON: Physicians Formula Baked Trio vs. WnW Walking On Eggshells

A few days ago while doing an EOTD (last image) with my new Physicans Formula Baked Wet/Dry Eyeshadow Trio in Baked Sugar (given to me by Holly Ann) i noticed it was eerily similar to Wet N Wild's Walking On Eggshells Trio which i purchased several months ago for myself. So i decided to do some swatch comparisons for you :)

I hope my swatches are easy enough to understand. I put the swatches next to eachother to show how similar they are. The only real differences i see between these two palettes is the brown - which is darker on the WnW palette. Otherwise the shades are pretty similar as are the finishes and quality.

The last image is an EOTD i created today with the P.F. Baked Sugar
Wet/Dry Trio. I used the champagne shade on the lid, brown shade in the crease, and white shade on the browbone as a highlight. I finished the look with brown eyeliner on my waterlines and 1 coat of brown mascara on my top lashes only. It was simple and pretty for a lazy day at home w/ just a little grocery shopping to do.

Both palettes are great quality although there is a large price difference, being that the Physicans Formula trio is much more expensive than the Wet N Wild trio. However i love them both. What do you think of these? Are the shades close enough to be dupes? Thanks for reading :)

EOTD: Sweet As Candy

Although this is alot like the WnW Walking On Eggshells trio, Sweet As Candy is more pink toned and a tad darker. I really like the shades and while they go okay with my green/hazel eyes i think they would look gorgeous on brown eyes! $2.99 at drugstores.

I followed the steps on the trio's packaging which is very simple and it comes on all WnW eyeshadow trios and 8pan products. If you havent checked out WnW eyeshadow lately, please do! They are very smooth, soft, and pigmented.

EOTD: Im Feeling Retro

 

I did this EOTD one day earlier this week when i was bored & staying at home all day. I bought the Wet N Wild I'm Feeling Retro trio at Rite-Aid a few weeks ago on a whim. Ive sort of made it a habit of collecting WnW palettes, lol. Anyway this one is a tad less pigmented/soft that the others but still good quality.

Tutorial:

1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
2. Sweep the eyelid color (iridescent purple) all over lids and along bottom lashline.
3. Shade the crease color (blue) into creases and blend.
4. Highlight browbone and inner corner with browbone color (pearly white).
5. Add a super thin line of black liquid eyeliner to top lashline.
6. Line waterliners with black eyeliner and coat lashes 2-3x with black mascara.

I pretty much followed the palette directions for this just because i wanted to see the outcome. Its definitely too bright for me so i plan to use the eyelid and crease shade just as eyeliners instead some other time to simplify it and make it less bright. These shades are definitely not for everyone but as i said - the two bright ones would be great as a liner for an added pop of color in Summer.

EOTD: We're Blasting Off

This is the first EOTD ive created using the new Wet N Wild We're Blasting Off trio from the Dreamweaver collection ($2.99 at Rite-Aid).

Tutorial:

1. Apply a primer like UDPP all over lids.
2. Shade crease color (black w/ pink shimmer) into creases and blend.
3. Apply eyelid shade (taupe) all over lids and along bottom lashline.
4. Sweep browbone shade (pink) lightly onto browbone as a highlight.
5. Using a med-large fluff brush, pick up a little bit off the eyelid shape, tap off excess, and gently blend all over lids and into crease to diffuse and soften the look.
6. Line upper lashline tightly with black liquid liner.
7. Line waterlines with black mascara.
8. Finish the look with 2-3 coats black mascara.

I basically just followed the directions on the palette to achieve this, but i have some other looks in mind i plan to try soon. Overall i like this look but it may be too dark for some. The black crease shade definitely deepens it a lot but overall its still suitable for a day or night look, either way. Tomorrow i am going to try to do a look with the Dancing In The Clouds trio which i also purchased at Rite Aid. What do you think of this? Thanks for reading :)

EOTD: Iced Mocha + Nutty

This is the EOTD i wore a while back while i ran errands and cleaned the house. I did a really simply EOTD using browns and neutrals using NYX and Wet N Wild products.

Products Used:
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Iced Mocha
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Cottage Cheese
NYX Eyeshadow in Frosted Flake
Wet N Wild Eyeshadow in Nutty
CoverGirl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in Brown
CoverGirl Lashblast Volume Mascara in Black

Tutorial:

1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
2. Sweep Iced Mocha all over lends and blend out.
3. With a fluff or blending brush apply Nutty all over lids ontop of Iced Mocha to set it.
4. Apply Cottage Cheese to browbones and blend out with finger.
5. Apply Frosted Flake to inner corners of eyes.
6. Line waterlines with brown eyeliner and coat top lashes with black mascara.

There it is! NYX Iced Mocha and WnW Nutty are VERY similar so i would almost say Nutty is a dupe for Iced Mocha - but in a powder eyeshadow version instead of a cream pencil. Overall im pleased with the look, very simple and neutral which is what i love. Thanks for reading!

EOTD: AVON 12-in-1 Look #3

 

This is the third EOTD i've created using my new AVON 12-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette. This time i chose bronze and blue shades. To see my previous looks click here: Look #1 Green, and Look #2 Burgundy.

This look is very simple and a lot like the first look i did, except instead of using green i chose blue instead. I typically don't use blues but i love the one in this AVON platte! The bronze shadow i used is a DUPE for Urban Decay's Smog.

Tutorial

1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
2. Sweep the bronze shadow (#4) all over lids and onto the inner part of your bottom lashline.
3. Using a fluff/shading brush apply the blue shadow (#10) into outer corner and along inside section of bottom lashline.
4. Highlight browbone with light gold champagne shade (#3).
5. To soften this look, use a large fluff brush and swirl across lids in small circular motions to diffuse and blend shades together.
6. Line bottom waterline with black eyeliner.
7. Line upper lashline tightly with black eyeliner.
8. Coat lashes with favorite mascara.

When i refer to #'s in the tutorial - i am talking about the # that shade is on the AVON 12-in-1 Palette.

Overall im pleased with this look and ill most definitely use it again! I think it makes my eyes pop a little and it's another great alternative to your typical black or brown smokey eye look. This AVON palette has definitely come in handy and i have been using it a lot ever since i purchased it. Im going to try to make a look every week or so until i have incorporated all 12 shades! EOTD: I'm Getting Sunburned Trio

 

A few weeks ago i purchased the I'm Getting Sunburned Trio and I reviewed it a couple days ago on my blog. Today i want to show you the EOTD i created using the simple steps included with this trio.

Tutorial

1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
2. Sweet gold eyelid shade all over lids and along bottom lashline.
3. Shade dark brown crease shade into creased and along top lashline as liner.
4. Apply pink shimmer browbone shade onto browbone as highlight.
5. I finished with black eyeliner on my waterlines and black mascara.

Thats it! In my opinion this is definitely a 'night' look, its too dark for daytime use. Im sure you could mix it up a little and use the shades differently to create a softer look but theyre all still very shimmery - and they also do have some fallout.
