EOTD: AVON 12-in-1 Look #1

This is the first EOTD i've created using my new AVON 12-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette. It comes with twelve shimmer/metallic shades that range in tons of different colors, a sturdy case, and it's only $13.99! This also happens to be the same EOTD i wore to HP7 Pt. 2 last month! I am so sad to see the Harry Potter movies end :( I have read all the books a few times and seen all the movies a lot too.
The movie was amazing by the way!!!
Tutorial
  1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
  2. Sweep the jade green shade (#1) into creases.
  3. Shade the bronze shadow (#2) all over lids and along bottom lashline.
  4. Highlight browbone and inner corner with the pearly white shade (#3).
  5. Apply a green eyeliner to water lines - i used P.F. Shimmer Strips stick liner in Green.
  6. Apply a black liner thinly to upper lashline - i chose P.F. Eye Booster in black.
  7. Coat lashes with black mascara - i chose Rimmel Extra WOW Lash.
Soon i'll be posting swatch comparisons of this AVON 12-in-1 palette to the Urban Decay naked palette as i have found some shade dupes! The green in this EOTD did not show up well on the camera but IRL it was definitely noticeable. Hope you liked this! Thanks for reading :)

EOTD: AVON 12-in-1 Look #3

This is the third EOTD i've created using my new AVON 12-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette. This time i chose bronze and blue shades. To see my previous looks click here: Look #1 Green, and Look #2 Burgundy.
This look is very simple and a lot like the first look i did, except instead of using green i chose blue instead. I typically don't use blues but i love the one in this AVON platte! The bronze shadow i used is a DUPE for Urban Decay's Smog.
Tutorial
  1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
  2. Sweep the bronze shadow (#4) all over lids and onto the inner part of your bottom lashline.
  3. Using a fluff/shading brush apply the blue shadow (#10) into outer corner and along inside section of bottom lashline.
  4. Highlight browbone with light gold champagne shade (#3).
  5. To soften this look, use a large fluff brush and swirl across lids in small circular motions to diffuse and blend shades together.
  6. Line bottom waterline with black eyeliner.
  7. Line upper lashline tightly with black eyeliner.
  8. Coat lashes with favorite mascara.
When i refer to #'s in the tutorial - i am talking about the # that shade is on the AVON 12-in-1 Palette.
Overall im pleased with this look and ill most definitely use it again! I think it makes my eyes pop a little and it's another great alternative to your typical black or brown smokey eye look. This AVON palette has definitely come in handy and i have been using it a lot ever since i purchased it. Im going to try to make a look every week or so until i have incorporated all 12 shades! Hope you like this, thanks for reading! :)

EOTD: AVON 12-in-1 Look #2

Hey everyone! This is my itsjudytime contest entry for luuux.com! I have done variations of this eye look soooo many times but today im going to show it to you using my new AVON 12-in-1 Palette which is very affordable! It comes with 12 beautiful shimmery shades at only $13.99 :)
I have always loved this eye look for summer because its a great alternative to neutrals or even the smokey eye! Plus it goes great with my green eyes. Using mauves and burgundies in place of browns or blacks is a great way to spice things up and keep your look fresh! Summer is the perfect time to add a pop of color into your look wethers its in your clothes, on your nails, or your eyeshadow!
Tutorial
  1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
  2. Using a fluff or shading brush apply a deep burgundy shadow into creases and blend out.
  3. Sweep a light mauve or dark pink shadow all over lids and along bottom lashlines.
  4. Apply a fuchsia shade into creases just below the deep burgundy color.
  5. Highlight browbone and inner corners with a sheer shimmery champagne shade.
  6. Finally, Line waterlines with plum eyeliner and coat lashes with black mascara!
Thats it! Isnt it easy?? Anyone could create this look and you could even substitute shades that suit you (like blues, greens, etc) instead of using variations of pinks like i did. Pair this with a tinted moisturizer with SPF, some bronzer, a nude lip, and you're Summer ready!
I hope you enjoyed this post and my EOTD! If you have any comments or questions feel free to ask. For contest rules and info, click here!

EOTD: Vibrant Spice Quad

This is the first eye look i've created using my new AVON True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Vibrant Spice., $7.99. These quads come in tons of other shade options also.

Tutorial
  1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids
  2. Shade Lush Lavendar (purple) into creases and along bottom lashline.
  3. Sweet Shimmering Copper (pinkish copper) all over lids.
  4. Highlight browbone with Gold Sand (yellow gold) and apply same shade into inner crease also.
  5. Coat lashes with black mascara and line waterlines with purple eyeliner.
This is a very pretty Caribbean type look, in my opinion. Definitely a great Summer or Fall palette. The shades are versatile and pigmented. I like it alot! :) Thanks for reading!

NOTD: Vintage Blue

Hey! Today i want to show you one of my favorite blue polishes - AVON Vintage Blue. Because of my olive undertones in my skin blues and greens look great on my nails and this is such a beautiful polish no matter what skin tone you have. It's a very pale sky blue cream.
Swatches
1 coat Essie Ridge Filler
2 coats AVON Vintage Blue
1 coat Seche Vite
AVON polishes typically retail between $2-$4 (depending on if theyre on sale or not) and from all the ones ive tried they all have great pigmentation, color payoff, and finish! This is by far one of my favorites.

DUPES: UD Naked vs. AVON 12-in-1

Click any photos to enlarge them. I got quite a few private messages & emails the past couple days asking to see swatch comparisons of the AVON 12-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette vs. Urban Decay Naked Palette. These are not dupes for one another but i did find three eyeshadows in each palette that were very similar and could be dupes for one another separately.

*All photos are mine, do not use.
*All links refer to my own Luuux posts.

    ☑ Similarity's
Both of these palettes are roughly the same size.
Each come with 12 pigmented and smooth eyeshadows
AVON Shade #4 is a dupe for UD Smog
AVON Shade #7 is a dupe for UD Hustle
AVON Shade #12 is a dupe for UD Creep
      ☒ Differences
      AVON 12-in1- Palette is $13.99
Urban Decay Naked Palette is $49
Naked has almost all neutral/bronze/gold shades
AVON 12-in-1 includes a green, fuchsia, and blue shade
UD's shadows are slightly more pigmented

Like i said, this palette is not a dupe for UD Naked but some of the shades are pretty close. If you want to see an almost 100% UD Naked dupe thats only $5 check out the E.L.F. Beauty Book in Neutral Eye Edition (click for swatch comparison). As far as which one i would recommend - thats up to you and it depends on your shade preferences.

    AVON 12-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette

Monday i put an order in through my husband for some AVON eyeshadow palettes, this is one of them! I reviewed the other one, the Vibrant Spice Eyeshadow Quad, yesterday so check it out too!. He brought it home last night when he got off work. I was so excited to swatch it today and check out the quality because ive heard a lot of great things about it!
This is the AVON 12-in-1 Eye Palette. It's originally $13.99 but he gets it for $6.99 thanks to his 50% discount on all of AVON's beauty, bath, and perfume items. Every shade in this palette has a shimmer or metallic finish. There are no matte shades and they do not have names so im going to describe the shade the best I can……
    Swatches from L to R:
    gold
    ivory
    gold champagne
    bronze
    mauve
    fuchsia
    bronzey plum
    silver
    lilac
    navy blue
    jade green
    black
The first 3 shades are somewhat sheer and would be best used as highlight shades, the others are very pigmented and have shimmery/metallic finishes. I did not experience ANY fallout when swatching. In my opinion all of them are beautiful and i really like the packaging for this palette! Plus it has two dual-ended sponge applicators that are secured in place by little notches so they wont fall out! This palette is a tad smaller than UD's Naked and if you wanted you could definitely switch out the two small applicators and add in 1 of your own eyeshadow brushes instead.
I think this palette is super versatile and im glad i finally decided to get it! What do you think? Is this something you would buy? For the quality and size this palette is definitely worth the $14 you'd pay for it. Thanks for reading!

    AVON Vibrant Spice Eyeshadow Quad

Here is the first item i'm going to show you from my small AVON haul i did this week. It's the AVON True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Vibrant Spice. All of the shades have a metallic finish and are very pigmented! This is the second quad i own from AVON and im very pleased with both of them! The other item in my haul this week was the 12-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette which i will review tomorrow!
    Swatches from L to R:
    Gold Sand
    Shimmering Copper
    Lush Lavender
    Caramelized Plum
In my opinion this would be a great Summer or Fall palette. The shades are very smooth and pigmented, plus i love the metallic finish! Absolutely zero fallout and this palette is quite affordable at $7.99 each (i got it for under $4). This palette comes in tons of other shade options but the other newest one is Caribbean Sunset which is equally beautiful!
I would definitely recommend these! They have cute sleek packaging and the eyeshadow quality is great! Ive heard alot of people say the packaging reminds them of Chanel's. Plus as i said, theyre are TONS of other shade options (some palettes are all matte shades, others are shimmer/matte combos). I will do an EOTD with this within the next 1-2 weeks :) Thanks for reading!

AVON Ideal Shade Foundation Adjuster in Cool

This is a brand new product from AVON which adjusts your foundation shade to make it slightly darker, drop by drop. It comes in Cool for light skin tones, and Warm for dark skin tones.

As you can see from the swatch the AVON Ideal Shade Foundation Adjuster in Cool is a warm shimmery bronze color. It does not dramatically darken your foundation with one tiny drop. From experience one drop gives you one shade slightly darker. Add more drops for a darker shade. So its really easy to control your shade!

    To Use:
    1. Apply a nickel-quarter size amount of your foundation on the top of your hand.
    2. Apply a tiny 1/2 pea-size amount of Foundation Adjuster beside or ontop of your foundation.
    3. Mix the two together with your finger or a foundation brush.
    4. If its not the shade you want yet, add another tiny drop of Foundation Adjuster until you reach the desired shade.
This is pretty simple to use and very handy if you have a foundation that's just too light for you. As i said earlier this Foundation Adjuster does come in two shades for light skin tones and dark skin tones. I have never seen another company with a product like this, have you?

AVON Color & Gloss Duo in Sunset Glow

A few weeks ago i put an order in through AVON, where my husband works, for a Foundation Adjuster, and a Color & Gloss Duo in Sunset Glow. Because he gets a discount I purchased both for under $5 total.
This is the Color & Gloss Duo in Sunset Glow. Its a warm peachy-pink lipstick and gloss. This product is very interesting in the sense that it can be used a few different ways and it gives you two products in one travel friendly case. These also come in various other shades.
Ways You Can Use The Duo's
    1. Wear the lipstick alone.
    2. Wear the gloss alone
    3. Wear the lipstick underneath of the gloss
    4. If you have two or more Duo's you can switch out the gloss compartment on the bottom for another shade from a different duo
    PROS
lipstick is VERY creamy and silky
gloss is not sticky at all and has high shine
    travel friendly 2-in-1 design
affordable, $6.99 each for both products. (on sale right now for $4.99)
comes in a few different shade combinations
    multiple ways to wear/use it
    50/50
Because AVON isnt a drugstore or store-sold product it may be harder for some to find. - You can order through a Representative or online at shop.avon.com.
    CONS
    None!
I was surprised at how much i liked these, because if you've read some of my posts before (especially for the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams) you'll know how much i hate lipsticks and glosses - usually. This duo, even when using both products, is never heavy or sticky on my lips and it's very moisturizing. The color pay-off is great and overall i really like this duo. I've already ordered more!! lol
Photos are mine, do not use. Please comment, like and follow! :)

Mark. Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes

If you're looking for a new highlighter or bronzer for summer you really need to check out this Mark. Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes All Over Face Palette, $15., click here.
    What Mark. says:
❝Look your most luminous, thanks to these cubes: with a sweep of a brush, shimmery shades of pink, gold and bronze combine for allover color, or dab individual shades onto eyelids using your finger.
    • 9 shades combined add instant radiance to skin
    • Individual shades can light up the lids with gorgeous shimmer
    • Blendable cream-to-powder formula❞
    [PROS]
Just the right amount of shimmer/sheen but not sparkly or glittery at all
    Good pigmentation
Creamy texture that turns to weightless powder when applied to skin
    Beauty shades, perfect for summer
Compact is sleek and small enough for travel
    Multiple uses
    Great for ANY skin tone!
    [CONS]
Price - At $15 not everyone may be able to afford this, but it is still worth it!
    Summary:
If this were a drugstore product, i may not want to pay $15 for it even though it is absolutely amazing. You can see from the swatches the shades by themselves are gorgeous and could be used as shadows or browbone/inner corner highlighters. When blended together they create a beautiful pinkish-golden sheen on skin that has ZERO sparkle or glitter particles. Its just a dewey glowing sheen which is perfect for summer skin. I honestly believe these would be great for ANY skin tone. So what's the verdict? I love it and i definitely think it's worth the $15 (even though i got it for $7.50 thanks to my husband who works at AVON).
