EOTD using new Sigma brushes and UD Naked palette.

This is the first look i ever created with my Urban Decay Naked palette, and i find myself re-creating it quite often because it's always been my favorite. This time i decided to do it using my new Sigma brushes!
This look is slightly darker IRL, but i think my flash washed it out, sorry. It's a nice feminine mauvey look.
Swatches
1. UD Virgin
2. UD Sin
3. UD Toasted
4. UD Hustle
5. CoverGirl LiquiLine Blast eyeliner in Brown Blaze
Tutorial
1. Using Sigma E55 eye shading brush, apply UD Toasted all over lids. Then use E05 eyeliner brush to also apply Toasted on bottom lashline.
3. With Sigma E30 pencil brush shade UD Hustle into outer corners only.
4. With Sigma E70 medium angled brush sweep UD Sin on browbone as highlight.
5. Using Sigma E40 tapered blending brush, dab into UD Toasted lightly, wipe or tap off excess product and gently use over top of UD Hustle (step #2) to diffuse and soften harsh lines. Use small circular motions.
6. Once again, using Sigma E30 pencil brush apply UD Sin into inner corners to brighten eyes.
7. Swipe CG LiquiLine in Brown Blaze onto top & bottom waterlines.
8. Coat lashes with black mascara.
Thats it! I know the tutorial look tedious but its easy - i was just trying to be specific. Obviously if you dont have Sigma Brushes or UD Naked palette you can substitute them with any other brushes or eye palette/shades and create the same type of look. Thanks for reading!

EOTD: Urban Decay Midnight Rodeo

A few days ago I told you about my FREE Urban Decay Order on Hautelook.com from last month. Today i want to show you the simple but pretty eye look i created using my new cream shadow from that haul.

Products Used:
UD Cream Shadow in Midnight Rodeo
Milani Liquif'Eye in Black
Rimmel Extra WOW Lash in Extreme Black

This look is super easy. I simply applied 3 layers of the UD Midnight Rodeo (letting each one dry first before applying another) onto my lids and bottom lashline. Then i finished it off with black eyeliner and black mascara.

This eyeshadow seriously woke up my eyes and make them look bright and light reflective, it was sooo pretty!! If you have never tried UD Cream shadow i would highly recommend them. Theyre super pigmented and long lasting PLUS they did not crease!!

NEW! UD Primer Potion Squeeze Tubes!

So any of you who follow me or have read my posts before will probably know that i LOVE Urban Decay's Primer Potion. It's my favorite primer of all time, but because the old curvy bottle style packaging had a few complaints UD has come out with these new limited edition squeeze tubes!
I own the new squeeze tube packaging of UDPP in the original formula (my favorite) and while you already know how much i love it i'll list some pro's and con's of the formula + new packaging.
[PROS]
needle-nose precision tip
squeeze tube ensures you wont waste any product
a little goes a long way
affordable at only $19 each (one more dollar than the reg. bottle)
makes sure shadows don't crease, ever
makes shadow colors more vibrant
lasts 24+ hrs
dries invisibly and zaps any oil on lids
scent-free
10% more product than the bottle version
[CONS]
NONE!
Although some people may not want to pay $19 each for these tubes, they really are worth it and they last such a long time! If you've been wanting to try UDPP please check out the tube version before buying the old curvy bottle style version. They are only for a limited time so get them quick! They also come in different shades. *Photos are mine.

DUPES: UD Naked vs. AVON 12-in-1

Click any photos to enlarge them. I got quite a few private messages & emails the past couple days asking to see swatch comparisons of the AVON 12-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette vs. Urban Decay Naked Palette. These are not dupes for one another but i did find three eyeshadows in each palette that were very similar and could be dupes for one another separately.

*All photos are mine, do not use.
*All links refer to my own Luuux posts.

    ☑ Similarity's
Both of these palettes are roughly the same size.
Each come with 12 pigmented and smooth eyeshadows
AVON Shade #4 is a dupe for UD Smog
AVON Shade #7 is a dupe for UD Hustle
AVON Shade #12 is a dupe for UD Creep
      ☒ Differences
      AVON 12-in1- Palette is $13.99
Urban Decay Naked Palette is $49
Naked has almost all neutral/bronze/gold shades
AVON 12-in-1 includes a green, fuchsia, and blue shade
UD's shadows are slightly more pigmented

Like i said, this palette is not a dupe for UD Naked but some of the shades are pretty close. If you want to see an almost 100% UD Naked dupe thats only $5 check out the E.L.F. Beauty Book in Neutral Eye Edition (click for swatch comparison). As far as which one i would recommend - thats up to you and it depends on your shade preferences.
Please comment, like and follow! Thanks for reading! :)

FREE Urban Decay Order from Hautelook.com

I'm a little late on posting this but a few weeks ago Hautelook.com had a huge sale on discounted Urban Decay cosmetics products and i noticed i had $20 in free credits so i used them on these two items!! Because i only bought these two things and they were roughly $5-$7 each + Shipping my order was under $20 and therefore totally FREE to me!!! :)

I purchased... (click to enlarge photos)

↑ Urban Decay Cream Shadow in Midnight Rodeo
A champagne pink, super reflective, shimmery cream shadow.

↑ Urban Decay Single Eyeshadow in Jones
A golden orange shadow with a satin/sheen finish.

I will do an EOTD with these products very soon!! Have you ever used Hautelook.com?? If not click here for an invite! You can get high-end brands at super cheap prices. I love it.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Whiskey

I received this eyeliner in my new Urban Decay Rollergirl palette ($32), and i am totally in love with it!! These liners come in tons of different shades and are sold at sephora, ulta, and www.urbandecay.com
This particular 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Whiskey (regular $18) is a warm chocolatey brown shade. There are several dupes for these liners, such as: Milani Liquif-Eye, AVON Liqui-Glide, and CoverGirl Liqui-Line.
    [PROS]
    Very smooth
    pigmented
    creamy
    doesn't smudge
still washes off easily w/ soap & water or makeup remover
    comes in tons of shades
    sharpens easily
    [CONS]
Price: $18 - Not everyone will want to fork out the money for one eyeliner pencil, but its still worth it!!
These are AMAZING eyeliners!! The first time I used this eyeliner i was immediately impressed, it glided on perfectly smooth and pigmented. The best part was it worked wonders on my waterlines without smudging or transferring to other areas. You know how you put on eyeliner and after a few hours it looks like someone has smudged your bottom lashline and its all over the place??? This does not do that at all. It continues to look clean all day. If i had $92 to spend on the 15 Yr. Anniversary set of these liners (15 shades), i definitely would!!!
If you have never tried these and are willing to invest the $19 in it, I would highly suggest you do so! If not - check out Milani Liquif-Eye ($5) as it seems to be the closest drugstore match! **Photos are mine.

    COMPARISON: 5 Champagne Eyeshadows

One of my new obsessions is champagne eyeshadows. I think they make perfect all-over lid colors. Today i want to show you the 5 champagne shadows that I own. Some, as you can see, are almost direct dupes to others. *Photos are mine.
    Swatches, L to R:
    Urban Decay - Sin
Wet N Wild Walking On Eggshells - Eyelid shade
    MAC - All That Glitters
Wet N Wild Comfort Zone - Eyelid Shade (left column)
    CoverGirl - Mink
The first two are super similar, as well as shades 3-4. In my opinion CoverGirl Mink doesn't really make a dupe for any of these although it has been a supposed MAC All That Glitters dupe. Now that I own both i dont think it is exactly.
So what do you ladies think? Do you love or hate champagne shadows??? Some of them tend to be super reflective and/or metallic and others can be very soft and feminine.

EOTD: UD Naked Palette Look #8

This is one of my favorite looks from the Naked palette, and the last I will be posting for a while. Im going to try to start showing you some looks from different palettes as well!!

    STEPS:
    1. Apply Toasted all over lids.
    2. Shade Hustle into outer corners.
    3. Use Sin as a highlight.

This is alot more mauve/pink in real life, but this photo makes it seems kinda brown - sorry for that. This look goes best with my skin tone out of all the ones i've created from the Naked palette, and i really like it alot!

EOTD: UD Naked Palette Look #7

This is one of the lightest and most feminine looks you can create using the Urban Decay Naked palette, in my opinion. It's very light reflective and eye brightening. I wore it on a date night with my husband and i really like this look! I used only 3 shades from the palette, once again a very simple and fast EOTD!

    STEPS:
    1. Apply Sin all over lids.
    2. Shade Toasted into outer corners.
    3. Sweep Virgin on brow bone to highlight.

Thats it! So simple, yet very pretty.

    EOTD: UD Rollergirl #3

Here is another, slightly more dramatic look from the Urban Decay Rollergirl Palette ($32). Its more complicated that my EOTD's usually are. I like to keep them simple for beginners, but dont worry this one still isnt too bad.

    1. Apply UD Primer Potion to lids.
    2. Apply Verve eyeshadow to the inner corners of eye.
    3. Next, sweep Suspect eyeshadow to the middle of lids.
    4. Apply Darkhorse eyeshadow just above the crease and into the outer corner.
    5. Shade Woodstock eyeshadow to the outer two-thirds of the crease.
    6. Use Verve eyeshadow to highlight the brow bone and diffuse the crease color.
    7. Apply Whiskey liner on the lower lash line.
    8. Finish by sweeping lashes with a couple coats of mascara.

    EOTD: UD Rollergirl #2

For those of you who arent fond of a pop of bright color, this is probably the most neutral look you could create using the new Urban Decay Rollergirl palette ($32). I used 3 of the 4 shades from the palette, including the eyeliner.

    Steps:
    1. Apply UD Primer Potion all over lids.
    2. Shade Suspect into the middle of lids.
    3. Press Verve into inner corners w/ brush or finger.
    4. Lightly shade Darkhorse into creases and outer corners.
    5. Highlight browbone with Verve.
    6. Line top & bottom waterlines with UD 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner in Whiskey.
    7. Apply black mascara to top & bottom lashes.

Thats it! Pretty simple. I wore this today. Im still not feeling well but i figured if i showered, did my hair and makeup it would make me feel a tad better lol. It did, i guess.

    EOTD: UD Rollergirl #1

For those of you who arent fond of a pop of bright color, this is probably the softest look you could create using the new Urban Decay Rollergirl palette ($32). I used 3 of the 4 shades from the palette, including the eyeliner. Click on any of the photos to enlarge.

    Steps:

    1. Apply UD Primer Potion all over lids.
    2. Line upper lashline with Woodstock (bright fuschia)
    3. Sweep Verve all over lids.
    4. Lightly shade Suspect into creases and outer corners.
    5. Line top & bottom waterlines with UD 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner in Whiskey.
Thats it! Pretty simple. I wore this the same day i got the UD Rollergirl palette and it was a very pretty day look for me. The pop of pink is visible but not super noticeable and actually brightens eyes and made me look more awake. I plan to do more EOTD's with this palette so stay tuned! :)

    Urban Decay Rollergirl Palette

Urban Decay is by far my favorite cosmetics company.. ever! I love the fact that they are constantly coming out with unique, beautiful palettes. Plus everything is super high quality and still affordable. No, it isnt as cheap as drugstore products but you get what you pay for - and UD is amazing! They definitely did not let me down with this Rollergirl palette. Click any of the images to enlarge them.

UD Rollergirl Palette, $32, comes with 4 shadows, 1 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner, and a mini Lip Junkie. For more info on each, read below :) Click on any of the photos above to enlarge them.

    ▲ Eyeshadows
    Woodstock (bright fuchsia)
    Verve (pale oyster)
    Suspect (sheer bronze)
    Darkhorse (dark brown shimmer)

Each of these shadows are silky smooth and really super pigmented. They are easy to apply with fingers, sponge-tip applicators, or brushes alike. I know the pink shadow, Woodstock, may freak some people out but there are a few ways you can wear it without being really outrageous. I'll list those in another post along with photos. Suspect (sheer bronze) is definitely my favorite shade, its sooo gorgeous IRL! Definitely not your typical bronze.

    ▲ 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner
    Whiskey (medium chocolate brown)

I was amazed at how smooth and creamy this eyeliner was, but still precise and doesnt smudge. It definitely lives up to the hype and I can see why so many other brands have tried to dupe it (i.e. Milani Liquif-Eye, AVON Liqui-Glide, etc). I find that this particular shade, Whiskey, is great for lining upper & lower waterlines without being too dramatic. It actually looks very natural. A+ product.

    ▲ Lip Junkie
    Crush (super hot pink)

I know this is technically a "mini" but as you can see from the photos, its about the size of a regular squeeze tube gloss anyways so you do still get alot of product. This shade is waayyy too bright for my taste but some others may like it. The formula is pigmented but slightly sticky (aren't most glosses??) and smells like fresh mint. Its slightly tingly on lips, and when layered lightly this gives a nice pink flush to lips, or can be put on heavier for a more dramatic hot pink lip.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The Verdict?
Love it! The shades are beautiful, pigmented, and high quality. It was definitely worth the $32. If you get the chance to check this out you really should!
