LUSH 9 to 5 Cleanser/Makeup Remover

This is an amazingly gentle makeup remover and cleanser! It smells very lightly floral and is white & runny in consistency. I purchased this from LUSH in June after running out of my prized Baby Faced makeup remover. However, over Summer i actually have learned to like this alot more!

To Use:

  1. Apply to a DRY face and massage in, especially where there is heavy makeup like the eye area. It will not irritate or burn eyes.
  2. Allow to sit for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Using a warm damp washcloth (ring out the excess water) begin to wipe away the cleanser.
  4. When you're finished wipe face w/ a cotton ball soaked in toner and put on your favorite moisturizer once your face is dry.
Thats it! Its a little different from most products but its very soothing and softening on skin PLUS it takes away all dirt and makeup. I have combination-oily skin and this has never broken me out or gave me problems. I really love using it before bed.

LUSH Cosmetics Haul!

This is definitely not my first LUSH haul, lol. After making this order i checked my online account with lush.com and it turns out i have made over 20 orders in the past two years. Not to mention a couple trips to the store (which is 2 freakin hours away!). My husband and I are both pretty addicted to LUSH. They dont just sell stuff thats really innovative and great smelling, but its also good for you AND the environment. If you have sensitive skin, like pampering yourself, or just like being eco-friendly this is the perfect store for you!
Usually when i do a LUSH haul i always pick up a shampoo bar, soaps, and shower gels. Since i have way too much of that stuff already in my LUSH Stash i decided to get some bath bombs, bath melts, and emotibombs this time! :)
Bath Bombs
  1. Hot Java -- this is a hot pink spicy bath bomb thats meant to warm you up and soothe your muscles. If you ask me it smells a little fruity and spicy at the same time (like cinnamon) and actually has real cinnamon sticks added in!
  2. Softy -- this is a light pink bath bomb scented like fresh flowers and its stuffed with real rose petals which will come out when the bomb dissolves! Its made with rose, ylang ylang, and lavender oils which give it it's great scent and soften the water.
Bath Melts
  1. "MMM" Melting Marshmallow Moment -- this cute pink bath melt is actually pretty large and smells very sweet & a little musky at the same time. Its really intoxicating and relaxing but the best part is that is SERIOUSLY softens your skin and makes your bath water like silk.
  2. Floating Island -- this is the same size and shape as MMM but its white and smells like lemon and sandalwood. Also very soothing and relaxing plus it does incredible things for your skin. Bath melts are amazing!
Emotibombs
  1. Up You Gets -- oval shaped bomb meant for use in the shower. Just put it directly under the flow of your water and it will dissolve and become amazingly fragrant. This one smells like fruit loops (or Sexy Peel soap).
  2. Sex In The Shower -- this one smells very floral and pretty with a touch of fruit in there somewhere. Very sexy and seductive! I love this scent, i cant wait to try it. These are my first Emotibomb purchases :)
Samples
  1. Lemony Flutter -- i have a full size tub of this but i couldnt resist getting a travel size one for only $2.95 considering the big one is $13. This is actually a pretty decent size and considering a little goes a very long way with this product it'll be perfect for carrying in my purse. Smells like lemon sugar :)
  2. Ice Blue Soap -- minty and refreshing, this is a bright blue soap that cools the skin and gets it squeaky clean. This is more of a "manly" scent if you ask me but some women may like it. This was free.
  3. 13 Soap (Unlucky For Dirt) -- i have been wanting to try this for a while. Its an antibacterial soap that smells very clean like a typical bar of soap and is called the "cleansing herbal warrior" by LUSH. Made with fresh herbs and rose petal infusion. Also free.
Well thats it! I remember the first time my husband and I ever went into a LUSH store... we spent around $280, lol. It was pretty ridiculous but we got so many amazing things. All together this order cost me about $47 which isnt too bad because i can get multiple uses from everything except the two bath bombs. I like to break bubbles bars, bath melts, and emotibombs into 2-3 pieces and use them like that instead of all at once. You still get the same effect, you're just wasting less and getting more for your money :)
I seriously cannot wait to try out these products!! Thanks for reading! Check out my lush tumblr for tons of reviews done by me :)

LUSH Snake Oil

I purchased this scalp treatment bar from LUSH about a month or so ago and i've used it twice sense then. It claims to temporarily reduce and/or eliminate dandruff or itchy/flaky scalps. Its a little tricky and messy to use, but i've got 10 steps down to make it quicker and easier for you!!

YOU WILL NEED:

APPLYING TREATMENT:
  1. Section hair as if you were going to blow dry it. Secure w. clips or bobby pins.
  2. Take the Snake Oil bar and sit it on a plastic bag or the wrapper it came in.
  3. Heat the bar for 10-15 seconds with your hair dryer on high.
  4. It will quickly melt, so run 1-2 fingers across the melted oil and apply it to scalp in-between your hair sections Try to avoid your actual hair as much as possible, ONLY apply to scalp.
  5. Repeat step #4 until you feel that most and/or all of your scalp is covered in the treatment. You may need to turn your hair dryer on and re-heat the bar several times.
  6. Cover hair with a shower cap or towel and let sit for 20 mins or overnight.
REMOVING TREATMENT:
  1. On high heat, blow dry your roots so the Snake Oil treatment re-melts. This will make for MUCH easier removal.
  2. Jump in the shower, quickly get roots wet with warm water.
  3. Apply a clarifying or anti-dandruff shampoo to roots and massage really well.
  4. Rinse (and repeat if necessary) until you feel all the Snak Oil treatment is out of your hair. Apply a conditioner is you want, avoiding the roots.
Thats all! I know it seems a little lengthy but its only 10 steps in all, i just tried to be as helpful as possible. *A little warning: this stuff smells pretty gross. Its like very smokey burnt bacon (seriously!) but the scent does not linger in hair, so if you can tolerate it please give this amazing product a try!!

After using this a couple times i immediately noticed my scalp was less itchy and i dont notice flakes anymore. Its not a permanent fix, especially if you have particularly flaky scalp to begin with, but it helps for the time being. I would have to assume if used on a regular basis (1-2x per week), Snake Oil from LUSH would keep your dandruff at bay!

LUSH The Ex Factor Bath Bomb

WOW. I have had this bath bomb since a week or so before Valentines Day and have been late in trying it because ontop of not expecting much from it, i am a stay-at-home mom/wife and i rarely find time to take a hot bubble bath anymore. I was so pleasantly surprised by The Ex Factor!!

In my opinion it smells like baby powder, vanilla and lavendar, lol, which sounds like a very odd combo but for some reason thats what i smell. However, dont be discouraged by my description, lol, its amazing. The scent is very relaxing and soothing and it made my skin absolutely silky smooth, it was so awesome!!!

I have a 2-3 person jacuzzi tub so it takes tons of water to fill it up and in return the bath bombs dont color the water as richly as they would in a smaller/regular sized tub. I turned the jets on after the bath bomb fizzed out and distributed the awesomeness in my tub, lol. I so wish I had tried this earlier so I could have bought more before they were taken off of LUSH's website.

LUSH NEW! Solid Shampoo

NEW! solid shampoo is a stimulating and reviving mint bar to encourage healthy hair growth. Made with clove, cinnamon leaf, and peppermint oils, as well as clove and nettle.
My Rating: ★★★★☆
4 out of 5 stars
Scent: cinnamon & clove
Price/Size: $9.95 for 1.5oz
Recommended for: thin hair, hair loss, hair that needs body, oily hair
Review: Before purchasing NEW! i read alot of reviews and there were some key questions people were asking/answering in ever single review so i’m going to do the same thing. Keep in mind i have long/thick hair with oily roots and dry ends.
1. Does it reduce shedding/hair loss?
Yes, it does. At first i noticed more shedding, but after about a week I did notice any, even when i’m brushing or blow drying my hair.
2. Does the scent linger?
No, it doesnt linger at all, so if you hate cinnamon scents (like my husband) dont worry. Its strong in the shower but I cant smell it at all once it’s rinsed clean.
3. Does it extend life between shampoos?
Yes!! I can go a day or two longer without shampooing my hair since I started using NEW!. My hair obviously isnt perfectly clean on day #2, but its not oily and doesnt look terrible.
4. Does it clean scalp well?
Yes! My scalp feels soooo clean when i use this shampoo, but i dont get the “tingly” sensation some people get when using it. Plus it cleans my oily roots without affecting my dry ends.
5. Is my hair healthier overall?
I would say so, yes. I have less hair loss, a nice scalp/roots, i can go longer in between shampoos, and it doesnt seem to my my dry ends any dryer than they already are. Plus it doesnt rinse out “squeaky clean” which i HATE because that just tells me its stripping my hair of everything (even the stuff it needs). So overall I really like this solid shampoo.

LUSH Bon Bon Lip Scrub

This lip scrub from LUSH was sold during holidays ($4.99) under the name Bon Bon in the U.S., or Lip Dip in other places. It smells/tastes like rainbow sherbet and it has a nice soft scrubby texture. It's very moisturizing and exfoliates will, although i find that i have to store it upside down in order to ensure the top doesnt dry up. LUSH also sells lip scrubs in another flavors!

A little goes a very long way with these scrubs so they last quite a long time (like most LUSH products) and they're natural and very high quality. See ingredient list on photo below.

To Use:
1. Wet lips.
2. Apply a dime-sized amount of Bon Bon to finger.
3. Rub onto lips in circular motions to exfoliate.
4. Lick or wipe away to clean lips.
4. Apply a lip balm.

What's your favorite lip scrub??

LUSH Grease Lightning

A couple months ago I purchased LUSH's Grease Lightning spot treatment gel when I was switching from Proactiv to LUSH (face care). Although the bottle says "tea tree cleanser" it is not an actual facial cleanser. It should be applied after cleansing and using a toner, and before moisturizers. It was $10.95 for 1.5oz, which seems small, but sooo little is needed that this lasts a very long time.

It uses grape juice to cleanse, thyme, tea trea, and rosemary to banish bacteria, and the witch hazel works to tone and shrink acne bumps/spots and remove redness. A pea-sized amount will cover nearly your entire face! It dries invisibly and can be worn under makeup, or over night as a clear 'mask' for acne. *You dont have to use this on your whole face though, it can be used on individual spots only as well.

I have noticed a huge difference in my breakouts and when wearing this as a thin mask over night it significantly reduces the size and color of any pimples I have... not to mention my husband puts it on his nose only to shrink pores!! Totally worth the $10.95 because it lasts forever and works really well.
