NOTD: Coral

I got this beautiful polish from Crystal Nichols in a recent giveaway of hers that i won! She must have been reading my mind because this is the one & only E.L.F. polish i have been coveting for quite some time now. However, its always sold out online and no stores near me were selling it either.
"Coral" is a gorgeous peachy-pink shimmer.
Swatches
1 coat Sally Hansen Hard As Nails
2 coats E.L.F. Coral
1 coat INM Out The Door Topcoat
I loooove this! I seriously dont own another polish in the shade, or even remotely close to it. It's so gorgeous and it goes great with my skin tone. It's said to be a dupe for NARS Orgasm polish, but since i dont own that i cannot compare them. Either way this is def. my new favorite nail polish! =D The application and formula are GREAT. It was nearly opaque in one coat but as always i did 2 anyways. If i can ever find this polish in stores or in-stock online I will definitely be buying a couple more!

EOTD + Review: E.L.F. Pigments in Celebrity & Socialite

This is the EOTD i did using the two beautiful pigments from Marily Santiago in a recent giveaway she held! I was so excited to try these out because i have never used E.L.F. Pigments prior to this.
Shades i used…
Celebrity (golden bronze)
Socialite (deep brown)
Tutorial
  1. Apply a primer like UDPP to lids.
  2. Sweep Celebrity pigment all over lids and onto bottom lashline.
  3. Shade Socialite pigment into outer corners and along top lashline.
  4. Highlight browbone with a white pearly shade. I used the browbone shade from the Wet N Wild Walking On Eggshells trio.
  5. Put a brown eyeliner on top & bottom waterlines
  6. Coat lashes with black mascara.
Thats it! Isn't this beautiful? i am totally in love with these pigments now and i am planning on hunting for more shades to purchase. Thanks to Marily for sending these to me in the giveaway package!! :) And thank you for reading!

E.L.F. Lip Stain in Heartbreaker

I bought this E.L.F. stain & gloss a couple weeks ago in a Kmart haul. I had been wanting to try them for a while and finally decided to do so. The shade i chose is "Heartbreaker" a nude peachy-pink but these come in more shade options as well.
To Use: Apply the lip stain to clean dry lips and allow to dry completely. When it is dry, apply the gloss ontop to seal.
PROS
lip stain is creamy and smooth
applies opaquely
dries quickly
i really like the shade
cheap, $3
long lasting
sleek packaging
CONS
Gloss is really sticky. Use one of your own balms or glosses instead.
Overall i really like this alot! It doesnt last quite as long as other lip stains I have (like the marker ones) but it lasts about 2-3 hrs without eating or drinking. After that amount of time it will fade a little so you'll just need touch-ups. Like i said - the only downside is the clear lip balm/gloss - its sooooo sticky! To fix this i just use one of my own. Im considering trying some of their other shades after im finishded with this one. Thanks for reading!
Have you tried these? Would you try them? I think theyre worth the $3.

E.L.F. Matte Lipstick in Natural

This is soo my "my lip, but better" shade! I really, really love this matte lip color from E.L.F. which was sent to me by Holly Ann in a very nice thank you package a while ago!
PROS
long lasting
creamy and smooth to apply
dries to a natural matte finish
shade is perfect for me
cheap
travel friendly
CONS
Not good for people with dry lips.
You might only be able to purchase online.
Because this has a natural matte finish and can be a little dry - if you've got dry lips already this E.L.F. Matte Lip Color may not be for you. Fortunately i dont have a huge issue with dry lips so i looove this stuff! Thanks so much again to Holly for sending it to me! I have been wearing it nonstop. It's just a tad more pink/brighter than my natural lip color but its so close it basically just enhances my natural lips and makes them look very even toned. I love it!
P.S. Sorry i forgot to take photos of the tip, idk what i was thinking lol.
Have you tried these, or would you try them? I think they're def. worth it. Thanks for reading :)

E.L.F. Everyday Eye Beauty Book

I purchased this new E.L.F. Everyday Eye Beauty Book at Rite-Aid for $5 earlier today on a whim. It was the first time i had ever seen E.L.F. products at Rite-Aid and the only thing they carry right now are the Beauty Books and Little Black Books.
This particular Beauty Book in 'Everyday Eye' has a lot of neutrals with a few pops of color added in. It also has an elastic band that stretched around the front to hold the book closed and secure. There are 12 shadows total.
Shade Descriptions:
Row #1: sheer champagne, pearly pink, pale light mauve, matte burgundy Row #2: pearly white, champagne, grayish mauve, light grey sheen Row #3: medium purple, navy blue, matte greyish purple, gunmetal shimmer
The only complaints i seem to have is that all of the shadows aren't very pigmented (but not terrible) and E.L.F. seems to refuse to put green in a lot of their palettes. Most consist of neutrals, mauves, and such. Otherwise this is a nice palette and has the potential for me to be able to create tons of looks from it.
What do you think? Would you try this for $5?
Thanks for reading! Please comment, like and follow! Photos are mine do not use.

EOTD: Easy Smokey Eye feat. E.L.F.

A while back i did a brown smokey eye so today i thought i would dial it up a bit and do something a little more dramatic. And, also, as I said yesterday I am still refining my skills on creating smokey looks so bare with me, lol. *Photos are mine, click any image to enlarge it.
SWATCHES
1. Medium champagne shade - (dupe for UD Sidecar) from E.L.F. Neutral Eye Book $5
2. Dark muted plum shade - (dupe for UD Hustle) from E.L.F. Neutral Eye Book $5
3. Black shimmer shade - (dupe for UD Creep ) from E.L.F. Neutral Eye Book $5
4. Milani Liquif-Eye eyeliner pencil in Black, $4.99
5. Maybelline The Falsies mascara in Black, $5-$7
TUTORIAL
1. Apply shade #2 (dark plum) all over lids and creases.
2. Blend shade #3 (black shimmer) into creases and outer corners. May take 1-3 layers to build up color.
3. Using a fluff brush, or whatever you prefer, blend hard edges of shadows.
4. Sweep shade #1 into inner corners and on browbone as highlight.
5. Line top lashline with Milani Liquif-Eye in black.
6. Line bottom lashline with shade #3 (black).
7. Using an angled eyeliner brush, layer shade #3 (black) ontop of Milani Liquif-Eye on top lashlines to set liner and enhance color.
7. Line top & bottom waterlines with Milani Liquif-Eye in black.
8. Add 1-3 coats of Maybelline The Falsies mascara in black to top & bottom lashes.
TIPS
- I always do my eye makeup BEFORE my face makeup (like foundation, powder, etc) because it makes cleanup easier when you have a bare face - just incase any fallout or smudges occur.
- If you arent pleased with the outer lines of your EOTD just dip a Q-Tip in liquid makeup remover and swipe along eyes to define/clean up your lines.
Well, thats all there is to it! Its pretty dark, i must admit, but it would be a pretty nice look for those of you who dont want to use just silvers, greys, and black in a Smokey look since this also incorporates champagne and plum shades. I definitely wouldnt wear this during the day but i would wear it on a date night w/ the husband or out with the girls. BTW: This E.L.F. Beauty Book, Neutral Eye Edition $5, is a spot-on dupe for Urban Decay Naked Palette!!
Please read, like, comment, and follow!! :)

E.L.F. Brush Shampoo

I purchased this E.L.F. Brush Shampoo for $3 a my local Target a few weeks ago. I've been using it to clean my brushes about 1-2x per week (everyday for my foundation brush) and i really like it!!

It has a push top and the formula of the shampoo is a thick liquid (like a regular shampoo). I apply a dime-sized amount the the palm of my hand, add a little water, then swirl my brush into the shampoo/water mixture. It doesnt suds up alot or make tons of bubble, but you can see the color of the shampoo/water change in the palm of your hand as it cleans and wipes away anything in your brush.

I didnt know just how dirty my brushes were, until i used this E.L.F. Brush Shampoo. I had been cleaning them regularly with warm water and baby shampoo but this showed me just how much that WASNT working (even though i thought it was). So for $3 you can get an effective, scent free, amazing brush cleaner. I think its a pretty good deal!!

CONS?: The bottle is hard to squeeze. Thats it. Everything else about it is great

E.L.F. Conditioning Lip Balm SPF 15

I purchased this conditioning balm from E.L.F. a few weeks ago at Kmart on a whim. I didnt need any new balms, but it was only $3 so i thought what the heck, i'll give it a try!

Unfortunately, I dont like the shade. I wasnt aware it was tinted (i know its pink in the packaging but it should say TINTED or sheer) and it totally does not match my skin tone. The formula itself is good, the balm is very moisturizing and softening and it smells like coconut milk. If i could've got this in a shade that wasnt pink (nude, maybe?) i would love it.

2 EOTDS: E.L.F. 32 Pc. Eyeshadow Collection

Look #1

Look #2

These are the first and only looks I have created, so far, from my new E.L.F. 32 Pc. Eyeshadow Palette. I used several shades from the palette for each look. Both are very "girly" and feminine looks.

Look #1 Shades
LOOK #1:
1. Apply the pink shade all over lids.
2. Shade lilac shimmer into outer corners.
3. Line top & bottom lashes with medium matte purple.
4. Highlight brown bone with white shimmer.

LOOK #2:
1. Apply the pink as a highlight on brown bone.
2. Shade light mauve shimmer into inner corners.
3. Blend medium mauve onto middle of lids.
4. Shade darker mauve into outer corners.
5. Line top & bottom lashes with medium matte purple.

I finished both of these looks with Maybelline LashBlast Volume mascara in black. These are the "girliest" EOTD i have ever done, lol. I say that because i normally dont go for pink and/or lilac shades but they were very feminine and Spring-friendly. This E.L.F. palette was $5 at Target and you can see my full review on it (w/ swatches) on my blog.

E.L.F. 32 Piece Eyeshadow Collection

Feast your eyes on this E.L.F. Everyday Basics 32 Pc. Eyeshadow Collection palette! ($5 at Target and online). It comes with 32 beautiful shades ranging from matte, to shimmer, to glitter! Almost all of these eyeshadows are very pigmented, soft, and easy to blend. However, some of them are a little difficult but thats to be expected from a $5 product!

I know alot of people complain about serious fallout from E.L.F. shadows, but I havent experienced that from these new palettes. The only downside I can see in this one is the fact that there are ZERO green shades! Whats up with that? Look below for swatches.

E.L.F. Contouring Blush & Bronzer Duo

I have been lusting after the NARS Orgasm/Laguna ($39) blush and bronzer duo for a long time and after seeing this E.L.F. Contouring Blush & Bronzer Duo ($3) was a supposed dupe I figured it was worth a try for a $36 price drop!!
First of all, I was amazed at how super soft and pigmented the blush and bronzer in this compact are PLUS how giant the thing is to being with!! Its like double the size of the NARS duo. Since i dont own NARS Orgasm/Laguna I cant say if the shades are exact dupes or not but i love them all the same.
The blush is a pink shade w/ peachy shimmer and the bronzer is a warm typical bronze shade. Theyre soooo smooth and soft and apply lightly so it makes it even easier for blending and buildable coverage. I am highly impressed with this due and really dont even want the NARS one anymore!
Definitely a must have for me from now on!
