NYC Lip Sliders

This is another item i picked up at Dollar Tree for $1 a few months ago. I had been curious about the NYC Lip Sliders for a long time but i couldnt find them anymore!

This particular shade is Pink Sugar, a warm deek pink. It gives lips a healthy flush but isnt 100% pigmented so they color payoff isnt amazing.... however, it is a gloss and not a lipstick so thats to be expected. These are a tad thick/sticky and i have a feeling if left in a purse, car, etc where its hot they would def. melt.

Overall i'd give this a 7/10 if i had to rate it, but it was worth the $1 i paid for it.

NYC Skin Matching Foundation in Fair

I bought this foundation a few months ago at Rite-Aid. It was a new product for NYC at the time so in figured for only $3.50 i should give it a try!!

I've had a chance to give this foundation a fair try over summer so below are my PROS and CONS for you. Please keep in mind i have combination-oily skin and i am acne prone.

PROS
squeeze tube
super cheap
comes in 4-5 shades w/ blend to match skintone
medium coverage
gives skin a healthy glow
not sticky or heavy

50/50
blends okay, but not great

CONS
Can get cakey if you accidentally apply too much
Makes dry areas look worse

Apart from the con's i actuallt like this foundation alot and when applied super sheer it almost works as a nice tinted moisturizer which was perfect for Summer. It's only $3.50 so it's worth a try and if you're looking for a new foundation give it a try! :)

NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Plaza Pink

I had a hard time getting my hands on one of these, but luckily Rite-Aid pretty much has everything lol. They also had the new L.E. blushable creme sticks (gold and bronze) and while i was tempted to grab one as a creme bronzer i decided not to in the end, but i should have! These are about $2-3 each.
This is NYC Blushable Creme Stick in Plaza Pink.
How I Apply It: Usually i rub this lightly onto the top of my Ecotools Duo Fibre Finishing Brush then apply it to cheeks for sheer buildable coverage. If i want it to be more pronounced, i use my finger.
PROS
pigmented
smooth
powdery finish
lightweight
isnt sticky
easy to use
travel friendly
comes in a decent shade range
cheap
CONS
Hard to find for alot of people.
Ooohh i love this! Now they just need to make a peach one for me lol. My favorite part about these is the fact that it immediately turns to powder on skin - its amazing! Its so great i actually forget this is a cream blush, lol and really i dont even think of it that way anymore. These are super great and if you can find them i would deifnitely suggest you check them out!

NYC Smooth Skin Liquid Makeup

I purchased this foundation the same day i bought the new Rimmel Clean Finnish foundation. They were both super cheap, this one was around $2, and i figured I wouldnt be loosing much if i didnt like either one of them so i grabbed them both! LOL
PROS
cheap, roughly $2
blends well
can be applied with a brush or sponge
has a nice consistency
long lasting
feels soft on my face
never sticky
stands up to humidity
the shade "Nude" matched me pretty well but could be better
50/50
Only available in 7-9 shades (i cant remember exactly) But because they're very blendable and skin-matching its not a huge issue.
CONS
Hard to get out of the bottle. This is a thick liquid foundation, it will not run out when you tip the bottle - you basically have to beat it out.
Overall this is a nice foundation - especially for the price. It felt light and soft on my face which i was happy about, and it definitely wasnt sticky. As i said the shade "Nude" matched me well but it would have been a little better. My only issue is that its such a pain to get out of the bottle! I had to beat it vigorously to get it out, it just wouldn't move. *I have to say i definitely love the Rimmel Clean Finish foundation ALOT more!
Have you tried this foundation or another NYC foundation? What do you think? Would you every buy one if you havent already?

NYC Liquid Lipshine Swatches & Comparison

Click any image to enlarge it.

A while ago i bought my first NYC Liquid Lipshine, which was Brighton Beach Peach. Since then i have bought 3 more so i figured i would show them all to you side by side for comparison. I have found these at CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, WalMart, Kmart, Dollar General, and Family Dollar.
NYC Liquid Lipshine
Brighton Beach Peach - Sheer peachy-pink shimmer
Prospect Pink - Bright pearly pink shimmer
Nude York City - Sheer pale nude shimmer
Wine N Dine - Deep plum shimmer
Price: $2.50-$3 each (comes in more shades)
Product:
All of these are a tad sticky, but only if you apply them super heavy. If you apply a sheer-medium amount they aren't very sticky at all. Pigmentation varys with shades which is nice because there's a gloss for everyone. Some are sheer, some are medium, and others are full coverage and give a lot of opacity. So depending on what you like, theres a gloss for you. Each gloss has a vanilla-caramel scent and a high shine finish as well as a straight flexible wand.
Overall I like these a lot but i really have no use for Wine N Dine, unfortunately. It's much to dark for me although it is a very pretty shade. I may try toning it down somehow or wearing it super sheer. We'll see. These are definitely worth the $2.50 i paid for them and i would highly suggest them if you're looking for a new gloss.
